From the melt streams of Rakaposhi and Ultar Sar, through miles of limestone and quartz — Hunza Oxidane captures water as the valley has drunk it for centuries. Cold. Mineral-rich. Alive.
Chapter I — Origin
Nestled in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Hunza Valley sits among giants — K2, Nanga Parbat, Rakaposhi. Isolated by the Karakoram, its Burusho and Wakhi communities have drawn life from glacier melt for generations.
Each summer, from May to October, ice releases water that carries fine glacial silt — rock flour ground over millennia. This natural filtration enriches every drop with calcium, magnesium, potassium, and silica before it ever reaches a bottle.
"Locals swear by it, and prefer it to filtered water — served in homes and restaurants throughout the melt season."
— On Hunza glacier water traditionsChapter II — The journey
Four stages. Zero shortcuts. This is how water earns the name Oxidane.
High-altitude springs and melt streams descend from peaks above 7,000 metres. Water travels through carbonate-rich rock layers, picking up bicarbonates and trace minerals naturally.
Layers of ice, quartz, and limestone act as nature's filter. Fine glacial silt — sometimes giving the water a distinctive grey sheen — carries silica and electrolytes in colloidal form.
At our facility in Khyber Gojal, Hunza, water is collected at the source — preserving its mineral profile and natural alkalinity without chemical treatment or artificial enhancement.
Bottled under strict quality controls in formats designed for daily life — from compact 600ml packs to family-size 1.5L bottles. Pure spring water, unchanged.
Chapter III — Composition
Scientific studies of Hunza region waters show bicarbonate-type alkalinity with minerals within WHO guidelines — enriched by geological filtration, not a factory.
Essential for bone strength and cellular function. Naturally absorbed from limestone strata.
Supports muscle function and energy metabolism. Present in glacial runoff throughout the valley.
Vital for heart rhythm and hydration balance. A hallmark of pristine mountain spring water.
Found in colloidal form from quartz-rich rock flour — associated with skin and joint wellness in natural medicine traditions.
